Rugby Selection.

To the Editor. Dear Sir, —There appears to be something wrong with New Zealand’s system of Rugby selection for the important interisland match, and the strength of the All Black team for Australia will probably be seriously weakened in consequence. Players who are virtually untried will turn out in key positions on Saturday, while experienced men of the highest class will be on the bank. In the first place, the nomination system left hopeless gaps and the selectors appeared to be afraid to use their own judgment. As a result, back combination will be absent and constructive moves lacking. It is time we had an efficient method of selection.—l am, etc., LINE-OUT.
