Most girls* wot marry if they had the chance, but many us will always have to work, as we u never be asked to marry and be mothe If the girl had the chance of asking man for his hand in marriage then perha more girls would marry, but as it is n< only a certain type marries, and the plain homelier and more reserved and retiri of her sisters will have to plod their sinj existence in the merciless task of holdi their jobs against the fear of charity. Some married women who want me money than their husbands can give the or who don’t like housework or the cs of a family are holding positions that o young men could very easily occupy, a I say they are the ones who should ma a vacancy in the commercial ranks for t unemployed. The single girls have, in ma cases, hardship manifested in the home a in most cases have “to paddle their oi canoe,” so why interfere with them? Sur< some way of earning a living for all shoi be found in some productive scheme, only the great brains of the country cov get together and set it going.—I am. et BACHELOR GIRL
