SKI-ING SEASON.

Christchurch Club Makes Preparations. Preparations for the new season were made at the annual meeting of the Christchurch Ski Club held last evening Mr R. Twyneham presided. Mr G. G. Lockwood gave details of the plans for the erection c-f the hut, which it was proposed would be a single room 12ft bv 15ft, with twelve bunks. There would* be no luxuries and the hut could be used as a bivouac only. It was decided to go ahead with the hut proposal. Trophies won during the year were awarded as follows: —Women’s championship, Miss D. Maekie; men’s championship, Mr R. O. Page. Officers were elected as follows:—President, Mr R. Twyneham; vice-presi-dents, Miss FI. B. Munrc- and Mr W. Erasmusson; honorary secretary, Mr G. G. Lockwood; honorary treasurer, Mr E. C. A. Ferricr; committee. Miss G. Ferguson, Dr O. Frankel, Messrs R. O. Page and A. B. Kdwardes; honorary auditor, Mr C. Evans. If was reported that the ski championships would be held this year at Tongariro between August 20 and September 4.
