ANNUAL DANCE.

Technical College Cricket Club. The first annual dance of the Technical College Old Girls’ Cricket Club was held in the College Hall on Saturday evening last and proved an outstanding success, about eighty couples dancing to spirited music supplied by Teddy Jones’s band. The hall was tastefully decorated with green, gold and white streamers, and palms and baskets of crysanthemums set the stage off to advantage. During the evening an exhibition of eccentric tap dancing was given by Mr Basil Robson. Winners of the novelty dances held during the evening were:—Lucky spot, Miss M. Cooke and Mr Stewart; and Monte Carlo, Miss Ross and Mr Cook. The committee responsible for the arrangements were Misses S. A. Howman, L. Beale, C. Powell, I. Grant, E. Watts, I. Annan, A. M. Todd, R. Symons and E. L. Harris (hon secretary). Mr D. Bentley was M.C.
