PAINTINGS ACCEPTED.
Success of Christchurch Artist. MR A. E. BAXTER HONOURED. The Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours has accepted for hanging at its exhibition this year two paintings by Mr A. E. Baxter, formerly of Christchurch, according to advice received by Mr E. Murray Fuller, whose exhibition of the work of contemporary British artists is to be opened at the Art Gallery next week. Mr Baxter's accepted pictures are two studies made at Concarneau. A painting by Mr Fuller himself, “ Malindi Beach, Zanzibar,” has also been accepted by the Institute.
