OREPUKI, from southern ports, is due here to-morrow to load for Wellington, Pieton and Wanganui. WAIPAHI loads here on Thursday for Wellington, Napier and Gisborne. ARDENVOHR, from Napier, is expected here on Wednesday to load for Dunkirk and United Kingdom ports. The vessel arrived at Wellington on Saturday from Napier. TAMAROA was dispatched from Wellington on Saturday afternoon for Auckland. where she will complete her unloading.

PORT HUNTER left Wellington yesterday morning for Napier to continue her loading for London.

PORT HUON will sail from Liverpool on March 12 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Timaru. Due at Auckland on April 19.

The Norwegian yacht Teddy left Auckland on Saturday for Brisbane. PERSONAL. Captain A, Reed recently reported from holidays, and has relieved Captain Gre y> °* the Kaimiro, for holiMr H. A. Brockett has been appointed chief officer of the Karetu, relieving Mr J. Dawson for further orders Mr M. R. Tregale recently joined the Kanna as chief officer. Mr N. J. Siepen, late chief officer of the Makura, is at present awaiting instructions at Sydney after holidays. Captain W. M’Kinnon has relieved A. P. Gibson as master on the Inaha, Captain Gibson going ashore on sick Mr K. W. Kanerva has relieved Mr D. R. Munro as first mate on the John. Captain J. Larsen is at present in command of the American steamer Golden Cloud. Captain A. Skellerup who had charge of the vessel on her previous visit to New Zealand, is now in command of the Matson steamer Sonoma. Captain Larsen is no stranger to Lyttelton, having visited the port on numerous occasions in the West Islip of which he was master for six years' Mr J. Berendsen, who is chief officer relieved Mr E. Petersen at San Francisco. Mr Petersen is ashore awaiting orders. Mr C. Hagberg, the chief engineer, has left the company and Mr H. Fowle has joined the vessel as chief. Mr Fowle came out of the Los Angeles Steamship Company to join the Golden Cloud. GOLDEN CLOUD’S CARGO. t of , the cargo brought for Lyttelton by the Golden Cloud was loaded at Canadian ports. She has 760 sacks of flour, a quantity of dried fruit and some timber. She will also discharge 500 cases of motor spirits at Lyttelton to be forwarded to Timaru. He served the first years of his apprenticeship on the sailing ship Mount Stewart, joining her in 1913. The vessel, though bearing an English name, was under the Norwegian flag, and under the command of Captain Tegge She was engaged in trading from European ports to British Colombia. Mr Berendsen settled in the United States about six years ago. Hanging on one of the walls of his cabin is a framed copy of a painting of the Mount Stewart by J. Spurling, the English marine artist, whom Mr Berendsen considers has no equal. The picture is much prized by its owner. It affords him some comfort at sea on boisterous nights when he can sit back in an easv chair in his cabin and reflect on the fact that he has not to turn out to climb to the yards to reef in.
