Owing to the trouble in Shanghai, the Oceanic and Oriental Company took out war risk policies for two of their ships at the end of last month. The vessels insured were the Golden River and the Golden Horn. The latter vessel is due
at Shanghai about Wednesday. Underwriters were not particularly alarmed and the insurance rates charged were said to be low.
