TIMARU SOCIAL NOTES.
Dr and Mrs L. S. Talbot, Teweka Street, left on Saturday for Wellington, en route for England. Mrs F. Harris, “ Silver Birches,” Sophia Street, is the guest of Mrs W. Howell (Cave). Nurse L. Rathgen, formerly of the Waimate Public Hospital, has left for Hamilton to take up a position on the nursing staff of the Waikato Hospital. Miss Patricia Ritchie (Te Tawa), who has completed her training at Karitane Harris Hospital, will return from Dunedin to-day. Mrs Huyshe-Clist (England), who has been visiting Mr and Mrs George Huyshe-Clist (Roxburgh), is now the guest of Mrs B. E. H. Tripp, “ Orielton.”
Mrs Mainwaring, who has been the guest of her daughter, Mrs B. R. Macdonald (Geraldine), returned to Timaru last week and, is staying at the Grand Hotel. Mr and Mrs Guy Hargreaves (Southland), who have been -staying with Dr and Mrs W. H. Hargreaves (Kokahu), left for the south on Saturday
