DEBUTANTES’ BALL.

Beautiful Frocks Worn at Wellington.

Four well-known Wellington girls made their debut at a delightful dance given by their parents at the Adelphi Cabaret on Friday evening. They were Misses Joan Fenwick, Betty Reading, Lorna Brodie and Mary White. The host and hastesses were Dr and Mrs D. Eardley Fenwick, Mr and Mrs Frank Reading, Mr and Mrs J. W. G. Brodie, and Mr and Mrs Charles G. White.

The cabaret was massed with handsome syrays of hydrangeas in many shades, and on the supper table bowls" and vases of mixed pastel-toned flowers were arranged. The guests were received in the main lounge, and presented to the debutantes, who were the recipients of felicitations and expressions of good-will. Miss Fenwick wore a lovely frock of silver sheen satin with a bodice in bolero style, and she carried a posy of coral cluster roses. Miss Reading was in a dainty Victorian frock of ivory silk net and Chantilly lace, with touches of silver on skirt and bodice. She carried a posy of pale pink cyclamen. Miss Brodie’s beautiful frock of milk white georgette was cut on classical lines and patterned in a silver diagonal design. Her posy was composed of blue cynoglossum and pale pink rases. Miss White wore a picture frock of ivoire taffetas and silk net delicately embroidered with tiny sprays in pastel shades of blue, green and pink flower buds. Her posy was of blue cynoglossum and pink carnations.
