GREYMOUTH SCHOOL.
Installation of Prefects Held. (Special to the “Star.”) GREYMOUTH, March 4. Yesterday morning: at the Greymouth Main School a pleasing ceremony took place when the first installation of prefects in the history of the school was held. All the teachers and pupils assembled in front of the main,entrance to the school, where the ceremony was performed. After Mr J. Graham, headmaster, had explained the purpose of the gathering, medals were given to the following, who were selected as the first prefects: —Girls: G. Doel, P. Forsyth, D. Hall and P. Moir. Boys: C. Baty, W. M’Hugh, J. Smith and Roy White.
