MARSHLAND SPORTS.
Trophies Presented for Annual Meeting.
It was reported at a meeting of the Marshland Sports Club that numerous trophies had been donated for the annual meeting, to be held in Mr Frank Slade’s paddock, Preston’s Road, Marshland on Saturday next, March 12. The president, Mr W. M. Clark, presided over a good attendance. The chairman stated that a shield had been presented by Mr W. A. Beck for a relay race from basketball teams in the district. This would be on view in the window of Mr George Wear, High Street, on Monday. The grounds were in good order for the forthcoming sports, and, given fine weather, success was assured.
