ANOTHER ARREST.
Alleged to be Connected with. Safe Robbery.
Another arrest allegedly in connection with the safe robbery at the Club Hotel, Sydenham, has been made by the police. Stanley Gibbard Ilazeldine, stated by Chief-Detective Carroll to be the third member of the gang concerned, appeared in the Magistrate’s Court this morning on a charge of breaking and entering by night the house of John Joseph Cotter, 441, Colombo Street, the licensee of the hotel, and committing theft. He was remanded until March 15. Ilazeldine is twentyfive years of age, and resides in Clarence Road, Riccarton.
Bail was allowed in the sum of £IOO, with one surety of £IOO, on condition that the accused reported daily to the police.
