QUINNAT SALMON.
Fish Caught in Wanganui River. Per Press Association. TAUMARUNUI, March 5. A quinnat salmon, about five inches long, was caught in the Wanganui River near Taumarunui by Mr A. Saddler, a local fisherman. The fish was forwarded to the Marine Department, which has certified it as a two-year-old quinnat. This is the first time .that quinnat has been caught in the Wanganui River.
