YACHTING.
Little Wind for Stacey Trophy Race.
The annual race for the Canterbury Sailing and Power Boating Association’s Irene Stacey Trophy was sailed on the Estuary this afternoon. The race, which is for boats of 12ft 6in and under, attracted eleven starters, including the two Lyttelton boats Mira and Ma Peru. There was practically a flat calm when the race started at 3.40 p.m., and there was little prospect of the boats finishing until a late hour.
