RAIN SPOILS REGATTA.
No Outboard Events Take Place at Kairaki. A cold easterly accompanied by steady rain spoilt the Canterbury Sailing and Power Boat Association’s regatta at Kairaki to-day. From the spectators' point of view, this was particularly disappointing as several boats had travelled from Lyttelton to compete. The breeze, however, favoured the yachts and sailing and launch races were held. Only two outboard motor-boats appeared and with rough conditions, no outboard races were held.
