RELIEF WORKER HURT.

Fell from Bridge into Ahaura River. (Special to the " Star.”) GREYMOUTH, December 18. Thomas Lawry, a single man and an unemployed relief worker who was engaged in dismantling the old Ahaura River bridge stepped back and struck a beam overhead with sufficient force to lose his balance. He fell into the river and was struck with an old pile causing a fracture of the hip. He was conveyed to the Grey Hospital.
