A Christmas Appeal.

late correspondence.

To the Editor. Dear Sir,—l would again request the favour of a little space in your columns to bring before our friends our insistent need at this time of the year. We have an exceptionally large number of inmates for this time of the year, and to feed and house 165 men each day is a big drain on our resources. While some of our friends have responded most generously, our previous appeal for funds has not met with the ready response we anticipated, and therefore I would like to ask our friends who can help us to come to our assistance, thereby assist us to brighten the Christmas for these men who have so little brightness in their lives.—l am etc., GEORGE F. C. DRY, Staff Captain.
