Comfort First.
The prerogative of defying conventions in fashions is usually accorded to women. Yesterday, however, I saw a man who may be the pioneer of a new and sensible fashion for men. When the sun was at its highest and hottest and the shops and offices were disgorging tired and wan clerks and typists for the luncheon session, I was amazed to see one man going serenely on his way with the coat of his expensivelooking tailored suit neatly folded over his arm. On his head was the conventional bowler, his arms displayed the richness of his creamy silk shirt and his shoes were of brown calf. Despite his lapse into masculine unconventionality he walked with a firm tread, head held high and an expression which told the world that he would be cool and comfortable whate’er his fellow men thought. Homage to this intrepid pioneer. DIANA.
