Schedule of Allowances Set Out for Members. Regulations relating to the allowances to be paid to members of the Unemployment Board, other than the Minister, or Commissioner, are contained in the latest issue of the Gazette. The regulations state that there shall be payable allowances as follows: (la) An allowance of 22s 6d for each day or part of a day during which any such member is, while engaged on the business of the Board, absent from his usual place of residence if such absence necessitates his spending one or more nights away from such place of residence. (b) An allowance of 10s for every day or part of a day on which any member of the Board is, with the concurrence of the Board, engaged on the business of the Board. (2) In this regulation a day shall be deemed to be a period of twenty-four hours, commencing at midnight. (3) The allowances prescribed by these regulations snail be in addition to actual and reasonable expenses of locomotion necessarily incurred by any member while the business of the Board. -
