Y.M.C.A. CAMP AT WAINUI.
Thirty-five Boys Left This Morning. The twelfth annual camp of the Y.M.C.A. began at Wainui this morning, when thirty-five boys left Christchurch. The camp will extend over a period of six weeks and will close on January 30. Next week fifty-four boys will go to the camp, so that eighty-nine will be under canvas. A number of those who left this morning were those nominated for a free holiday and they were obviously delighted with the chance to spend their time in the beautiful Wainui Bay on Akaroa Harbour. JVIr D. W. Ross, Boys’ Work Director, is in charge of the camp and is assisted by Messrs E. B. Simpson and S. M. A. Ronald. They will later be joined by Mr Chas. Pegg, Physical Director.
