TRADE BALANCE.
Figures Show Excess of Exports. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, December 14. The figures for the overseas trade of New Zealand for the month of November, 1931, show that exports were valued at £2,810,270 and imports at For the corresponding period last year the figures were: exports £2,394,543; imports £2,837,826. For the eleven months ended November, 1931, exports were valued at £31,814,844, and imports at £23,019,300, compared with £41,971,188 and £39,877,952 in 1930.
The values shown for exports are the declared f.o.b. values in terms of New Zealand currency. The whole of the imports are valued on the basis of the values in the exporting countries plus 10 per cent.
