WOOL WORTH’S (N.Z.) LTD.
Annual Dance Held in the Jellicoe Hall. The staff of Wool worth’s (N.Z.), Ltd., held their annual dance in the Jellicoe Hall last evening. The hall was beautifully decorated with streamers of gold, red and lemon, with flowers to tone. Novelty dances added to the attractive programme. Griffen’s orchestra supplied the music. The committee responsible for the arrangements comprised Mrs S. K. Gow (secretary), Mr A. Frudd (chairman), Mr G. L. Caiman (treasurer), Misses P. Snook, U. Worts and B. Evans, Messrs R. Snell and C. M’Connell. The guests of honour were Mr H. F. Vaughan (manager) and Mrs Vaughan. Mrs Vaughan wore a dainty frock of shell pink georgette with a long flared skirt inset at the sides with frills, which fell softly to the hem. Those present were- —Mesdames S. K. Gow, B. Taylor, A. Smith, N. Wood. H. Smythe, W. Coates, T. Jameson, 'M. Taylor, V. Ormandy; Misses M. Odgers, N. Chambers, Constance Johnson, Evelyn Johnson, Mavis Pycroft, Ethel Mumford, M. Broom, Marjorie Sampson, Marney Keenani, Violet Coates, lima Wendelborn, Lilian Shanks, Jessie Taylor, Olga Fairbrass, Thora Fairbras*s, Gladys Tamplin, Doris Chaplin, Phyllis Dawber, Marion M’Kenzivs, Alys M’Faul, Vera Song, Hazel MaeFarland, Roma Bell (Invercargill), Daisy Coates, Eileen Fisher, Pearl Hughson, Alma Pocock, V. Collins, Beryl Stone, Eileen Haig, Charlotte Duncan, Rita Hutchinson, Mercia Barrett, D. Williams, Helen Malcolm, Edith Moore, M.
