UNITED PARTY PREPARED
No Candidates in Two Electorates. (Special to the ** Star.”) DUNEDIN, September 2. The local United Party, though not so active as Reform and Labour, who are holding meetings in the various electorates, is prepared for the election, no matter how soon it comes. It is generally regarded as certain that United will not oppose Mr Downie Stewart (Dunedin West) or Sir Charles Statham (Dunedin Central), but a candidate will oppose Mr J. W. Munro (Labour, Dunedin North). As already announced, the Hon W. B. Taverner contests Dunedin South.
