One of the most successful concerts yet held in the St Martin’s Anglican Church Hall, Spreydon, was staged last evening, when Miss Creswell’s Joy Girls were responsible for the entire programme. The entertainment was made up of part songs in character, recitations and dance items. In addition, two plays were also staged. There was a good attendance and the proceeds were in aid of the Sunday school funds. The Rev D. Rankin thanked the party for the excellent programme and supper was served by the ladies.
