LODGE MEETING.
At the quarterly meeting of the Loyal City of Christchurch Lodge, M.U., 1.0.0. F., held in the Oddfellows' Chambers, St Asaph Street, the Noble Grand. Brother N. S. Page, presided. Letters of recommendation were received from the Loyal llangiora. Loyal Wairewa, Loyal Shamrock. Rose and Thistle Lodges. Visiting brothers from these lodges were welcomed by the N.G. Five members took degrees. Brother W. J. Roberts, P.P.G.M., delivering the lecture. Three new members were initiated into the Order, P.G.’s Brothers W. Beattie and C. Woods conducting the candidates through the ceremony. P.G. Brother T. Woods reported that the weekly dance was progressing favourably, but he would like to see a better attendance of Lodge members. The assistant-secre-tary, Brother J. Brocker, P.G., who had been absent, due to sickness, was welcomed. P.G. Brother G. H. Miller, a visitor from the Invercargill district, thanked the N.G. for his w-elconie. Sick pay amounting to £B4 15s, and accounts totalling £470 5s 4d, were passed for payment.
