SHEARING DISPUTE.
Wages Question is Referred . to Court. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, August 25. A dispute in connection with the shearing industry was heard in the Conciliation Council to-day, Mr P. Hally presiding. Both employers and workers were applicants for fresh conditions and by common consent the discussion was on a Dominion basis. It was found impossible to come to terms with regard to a number of major causes of the dispute, such as wage rates and preference, and it was decided that these and other points be referred to the Arbitration Court for consideration.
