FERRY STEAMER DEADLOCK ENDS.
CREW SIGNED ON AT LYTTELTON TO-DAY
The deadlock concerning: the manning: of the ferry steamer Wahine was settled at 12.30 to-day, on advice from Wellington. A full crew was signed on this afternoon.
It was reported that the man over whom the dispute arose had been signed on as an able seaman instead of bosun.
When a call was made at Lyttelton yesterday for a crew, the former crew intimated that they would not sign on unless one member, who had been discharged, was re-engaged. A conference between the men and the company was held in the afternoon, but no agreement was reached until to-day.
