Pepys’ Diary. January 13th, 1G63. At night to supper, had a good sack posset with cold meat, and sent my sues* away about ten o'clock at night, both and mvself highly pleased with our rs* agement of this day; and indead th* company was very fins, and Mrs Clarke a very witty, fine lady, though a little coneeited and proud. So weary, so to bed I believe this day's feast will cost me near £5.
