Some Misused Words.
Why not be Right?
SPHERE are some spoken sentences m -*• English that cannot be written. For instance, how could you write: " There are three ‘ to's' in the English language . (two, too and to). And then there are some common woroi that alter their sound to suit their sense. “ Progress ” and “ content are examples. Content, the adjective (I am content) has the accent on the " tent, and the same rule applies to the noun meaning contend ment and to the verb (content yourself "But'the noun, meaning all that a thing contains, has the “ con ” accented This word is usually found in the plural, but it is being freely used nowaday, in the ''"’Progress ” is more easily remembered. The verb (to move forward) always nas the accent on the “ pro,” with the o aa in ‘’obey." The noun (the progress ot rusticate! alWi>yS " P TOUCnST n ON P E OK '
