Rugby Broadcasts.

To the Editor. Dear Sir, —I entirely agree with the action of the Rugby Union in deciding that if Rugby is worth br icasting it is worth paying for. I, as an old supporter of the game, know only too well that the success of the game depends on the gate every time, and the “ bankers ** have to turn up wet or fine if they want to see Rugby, as the majority of them don’t have the price of an annual license fee for a radio set, and what do those who tune-in at home care for them, anyway? Why, if I could afford it I would buy a season ticket for the stand every time in preference to paying for a radio license, and it would cost a lot less, but I am as far off that as ever. What I say is— LOOK AFTER No. 1.
