A Worker’s Bad Luck.

To the Editor. Dear Sir, —During the last four weeks, I have had, including to-day and yesterday, six days’ relief work at 9s per day; one week, of course, I had no work at all. I have a card jvhich should be taken in to be signed every fortnight. Mine should have really been signed on Wednesday, but I thought Thursday. However, I clean forgot about it till to-day, Friday, and upon presenting it to be dated, I was informed that I have to miss relief work for two weeks. “ Some ” punishment, don’t you think? Hoping other relief workers will profit by my loss.—l am, etc* ONE OF THE RELIEVED.
