MEETING OF THE STYX BRANCH OF THE W.C.T.U.
A profitable “home meeting” of the Styx branch of the W.C.T.U. was held at the residence of Mrs Donald, 309, North Road, Papanui. Miss M’Lav, Dominion organiser, addressed the meeting and described the action of alcohol on the brain cells. . . Recitations and songs were given by Mrs Marwick, Miss T. Harris and MissEvelyn Hill. Miss M’Lay made an*. urgent appeal for members. As a r&;*; suit three new members were initiated into the Styx branch. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to Miss M’Lay and also to the performers for th' ir items.
