LODGE MEETING.
The fortnightly meeting of Ridgely Lodge, No. 36. 1.0.0. F., was held on Wednesday evening. Brother G. H. Morrow, acting-N.G., presiding over a good attendance. A motion of sympathy with Brothers Wise and Thorn was carried in silence, members standing. The Memorial Day proclamation was observed. as directed by Brother L. DeansRitchie. The transfer, by clearance, of Brother R. F. Chapman from the Washington Lodge was accepted. An invitation was received from the Lily of Sydenham Lodge to its fortnightly social. The Star of St Albans Lodge wrote inviting the Lodge to its social and dance. Brother Macfarlane gave a lecturette on “A Reminiscence of the English Bar/* by J. A. Straw. Visitors were wolcompd from the Star of St Albans and Washington Lodges, for New Zcalands the highest bid was 47s lOd. Government Tax Free Bonds w?ra firmer after yesterday's salo at £9S 10». There were buyers at f9R.
