BABY CAR WRECKED IN AFTERNOON SMASH.

Struck by a Hudson limousine, a Baby Austin turned a complete somersault before coming to rest at the intersection of Rolleston Avenue and Armagh Street shortly before one o’clock this afternoon. Its three occupants had a remarkable escape. The Hudson, driven by Mr J. S. Duncan, of Park Terrace, was travelling north along Rolleston Avenue and came on to Armagh Street at the same time as the Austin, which was driven by Mr J. O’Malley. Mr Duncan expected the other car to turn into Rolleston Avenue, but it kept straight on to enter the park. The occupants of the baby car were unhurt, but the car itself was damaged. The hood was torn off, one wheel was buckled and the left side of the car was stove in. The Hudson escaped with a slightly crumplecf mudguard.
