RINKS CHAMPIONSHIP OF ASHBURTON CLUB. The final of the rinks championship in connection with the Ashburton Bowling Club was played on Saturday in fine weather. The rinks which contested the final had previously played, the game resulting in a draw, which necessitated a play-off. the game resulted in a win for H. C. Percy, K. Sawle. T. J. S. .Doherty, H. Mil son (s. - ), whose score was 21, against 15 for W. H. Woods, C. Clarkson, W. Acton. W. H. Higgins (s.). The game very evenly contested tliroughTlie Ashburton Club will he represented by the following rink in the Christchurch Bowling Centre’s Easter tournament: —T. J. s. Dohertv, H. Milsom. A. Bane, J. C. C. M’Dnchlan (s.). There will be sixty-two rinks from the principal clubs in Christchurch competing. This is the fourth year in succession that t J lia same rink has represented the club at this tournament.
