COAST GUIDES THANK CANTERBURY FRIENDS.
Appreciation of the kindness shown to the party of Girl Guides from the West Coast on the occasion of their
visit for the big rally is expressed by Mrs Kitchingham, acting-Provincial Commissioner for Westland. In a letter to the secretary of the Canterbury Girl Guides’ Association, Mrs Kitchingham says:—“ Now that the rally is over and all the.Westland Guides have returned to their homes. I wish, on behalf of the Guides and their parents, to thank all those Christchurch people who were so kind as to billet the Guides during their visit, and to those people who met them at the station with cars. Without the assistance of the Christchurch people it would have been impossible for a great number of the Guides to have attended the rally. On the return journey one and all expressed themselves as delighted with the hospitality shown them and with the benefit derived from the rally.”
