TIMARU SOCIAL NOTES.
.’Mr] and Mrs Weston (Christchurch) left. on. Saturday for Mount Cook. Mrs J. Haggit (Dunedin) is staying with .her daughter Mrs Eric Rillstone (Grasmere Street). Mrs John Forbes (Waiuku), arrived oh Saturday to stay with her mother Mrs G. P. Wood (Wai-iti Road). Mrs R. J. Gilmour (Invercargill) and Mi?''Lance Porter (Dunedin) are staying at the Grosvenor Hotel. Mr and Mrs W. Nicol (Christchurch) arje. staying at the Dominion Hotel for a few days. Dr and Mrs L. S. Talbot (Te Weka Street), who are visiting Central Otago, are expected home this week. Miss Marjorie Edgar Jones (“Otiritiri) has left to stay with her brother, Mr G. Edgar Jones (Waiau). Mrs Stinear and Mrs Mazey (Oamaru) left on Saturday to spend a short holiday at Mount Cook. Mr. and Mrs L. H. Orbell (Winchester) are the guests of Miss Buckland (Akaroa). Miss H. Ziesler (Elizabeth Street), who has been staying with Mrs W. H. Orbell (Christchurch) has returned home. Mrs Howard Tripp (Wai-iti Road), who has been staying with Mrs Charles' Tripp. (“Nithdale”), returned from Southland on Saturday. Miss Mary Rolleston (LeCren’s Terrace), .who has been staying with Mrs T. Teschemaker (Christchurch) returned home on Saturday. Miss Vivian Raymond (Nile Street) will leave this week for Christchurch where she will commence her training at the Karitane Hospital. Mjss Priscilla Haythorne (England), who has been visiting Woodbury, returned on Saturday to stay with Mrs B. M. Tripp (“Orielton”), before leaving for England. Miss Olive Lyon (England), who has been staying with Mrs C. L. Orbell (“Pentlow”) has left for Waiau. accompanied by Miss Betty Cossins (“Ardnaquefe”) They will be the guests of Mrs Charles Macfarlane.
