AVONSIDE G.H.S. OLD GIRLS’ ASSOCIATION MEETS.
The first annual meeting of the Avonside Girls’ High School Old Girls’ Association was held at the school on Thursday evening. There was a good attendance, and Miss K. Gresson pre-' sided. I Officers were elected as‘follow:—President, Miss K. Gresson (re-elected) ; vice-presidents, Misses M’Kee and Wagstaff (re-elected) ; honorary secretary, Miss Ada Daere (re-elected) ; honorary treasurer. Miss Kathleen Browne; committee, Misses P. Orr, J. Peat, O. Clark (re-elected), Estelle Cook, B. Edwards and Muriel Foster. A vote of thanks was passed to Jean Howie for her work as treasurer during the first six months of the association’s activities.
It was decided to begin the drama circle at once, and to continue the tennis section each fortnight during this term.
An interesting competition was won bv Miss Mildred Foster. Two items, which w T ere much appreciated, were given by Miss Elsie Butter. Supper was served by the committee.
