APPOINTMENTS TO AIR FORCE AND NAVY MADE.
Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, February 19. The following appointments in the New Zealand division of the Royal Navy are gazetted to-night:— Commander E. L. Berthon to H.M.S. Philomel as commander in command and naval officer in charge, Auckland. Lieutenant-Commander John Terry to H.M.S. Diomede in continuation of his present appointment as Squadron Gunnery Officer. Lieutenant PI. L. Lawson to H.M.S. Dunedin. Lieutenant K. M’N. Walter to 11.M.5. Diomede. The following Air Force appointment is announced: Mr V. J. SomersetThomas to be Flight-Lieutenant and to be Flying Instructor at the Wigrain Aerodrome, Sockburn.
