TRAVELLERS COULD NOT OBTAIN ACCOMMODATION
The ferry steamer Maori had a full complement of passengers when she left L3’ttelton last evening. A number of intending travellers who could not obtain a passage endeavoured to get berths on the Government motor-ship Maui Pomare, but were informed by the officers that coast-wise passengers could not be taken. Those who could not travel north appeared to be disappointed, particularly one man, who he had ver y important business at Wellington to-day. Two other men and a woman asked Captain Bolton whether they could not sign on the ship’s crew or whether there was anv other way of getting to Wellington. ihe\* were informed that the 3* could Ponvm> Vel in that manner on the Maui
