CONCERT GIVEN AT CHOLMONDELEY HOME
The inmates of the Cholmondeley Memorial Children’s Convalescent Home, Governor’s Bay, assisted by some friends, held a delightful concert on Friday evening. One end of the large balcony had been converted into a stage by the matron (Mrs Bishop) and Mr Bell. Two huge teddy bears and two baby dolls had the places of honour on the platform. Mrs Davidson (assistant matron) had charge of the proceedings, and each item was well applauded. During the interval sweets were passed round. The ’ children, who returned to their homes on Saturday, will long remember the last evening they spent at the home. After the concert the children had games on the lawn, and it was a tired but happy band who finally retired for the night. The following is a list of the items:— Highland Fling, F.
