MACHINE FORCED BACK BY DAMAGED SEXTANT.
NEW YORK, January 3. The Norfolk (Virginia) correspondent of the “New York Times’* states that the monoplane Tradewind, after reaching a distance believed to be only seventy-five miles from Bermuda, was compelled to return. Damage to the sextant made further navigation uncertain. Jt will refuel to-morrow and resume the journey.
