SOME TOFF WINS BIG RACE AT SOUTHLAND

Stanchion Is Victor In President’s Handicap At Wairarapa Meeting. ONLY two race meetings engaged the attention of sportsmen in the Dominion to-day, the Wairarapa meeting at Featherston and the Southland Racing Club meeting at Invercargill. At Southland the big event of the programme, the Southland Handicap, was won by Some Toff, with Mount Boa second. At Featherston, Stanchion won the President’s Handicap, with White Fang second.
