BOY SCOUTS CAMP IN THE RAWHITI DOMAIN.
A model camp, nestling amongst the tall pine trees of the Rawhiti Domain, New Brighton, is the scene of great activity. Four patrols of Boy Scouts are spending their holidays in the open. The daily programme provides for both work and play, and is fine training for the boys, whose ages range from eleven to sixteen years. Starting at seven o’clock each morning, the bedding is rolled up and taken outside, where it is left to air, while the tents are swept out. During the day the boys parade, do other camp duties, and swim. The four patrols are the Kiwis, Horses, Bears and Lions, and there are seven tents and a stores tent. The patrols, under the Rev F. A. Tooley, pitched their tents last Monday, and they will break camp on Wednesday.
