HEAVY LOSSES IMPOSED ON BURMESE REBELS.
(United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph.-^—Copyright.) DELHI, December 31. Troops and police are blocking and guarding passes from Pega to Yoma, with the object of surrounding the Burmese rebels and compelling them to surrender, or pen them up in the jungle, where food and water are scarce. The rebel casualties at present are estimated at 17q dead and 75 wounded. The Government forces have two dead and six wounded.
