In the last few days mechanics have made a trial assembly of the car in which Captain Malcolm Campbell will attack, at Daytona Beach, the late Sir Henry Segrave’s speed record. There are twenty cylinders in the 1400 h.p. engine, which, although twice as powerful as an express railway engine, is only five feet long and "three feet wide. The engine was designed originally for a Napier seaplane in the Schneider Trophy race. The special permission of the i\ir Ministry has been obtained for its use.
