THE AGITATORS.
nnHE SHOPLIFTER who had . £64 in his possession when arrested, and who was described by the police as “ one of the professional unemployed,” should help to put the public on their guard against the agitators who are trying to stir up trouble in the city. Too many of these men are known to the police, and some of them have been convicted as agitators and trouble-bringers. When one reads of riots and dissipation in relief camps at Nelson one is forcibly reminded that there are many improvident men who deserve no sympathy. Moreover, the unemployment situation has never before ’been tackled as it is being tackled to-day, and every agitator who can read and write is therefore a selfconfessed humbug.
