HELPING THE FARMER
Pex* Press Association. WELLINGTON, November 29. In a statement issued to-day, the Hon W. A. Veitch announced that, in view of the low prices of primary products and of other special circumstances which exist in connection with the affairs of primary producers, and notwithstanding the urgent necessity for strengthening the finances of the Railway Department, Cabinet have decided that no increase shall be charged to users under regulations 13 and 41. In the case of agricultural lime, the concession to users will amount to £53,000 per annum, while in the case of artificial manures and raw material the concession to users will amount to £122,000 annually. Mr Veitch states that it is hoped that those who benefit will realise the urgent necessity of giving the railways the benefit of return business. * BEEEEEESEESEESSSEEIiIIIIIEf!
