FISHING RESTRICTIONS IN LYTTELTON HARBOUR.
A notice appears in the “ Gazette,” dated November 20, concerning seine net and purseine net fishing in the Lyttelton Harbour and adjacent waters. The new regulation states: “ That no person shall haul or use a Danish seine net or a purseine net for the purpose of taking fish in that portion of Lyttelton Harbour and adjacent waters within a straight line drawn from the lighthouse on Godley Head to Wakaroa Point on the eastern head of j Pigeon Bay. Any person committing a breach of this regulation is liable to a penalty not exceeding £20.”
