AUCKLAND, November 27. “If he hadn’t been held back, goodness? knows what might have happened,” said counsel for a woman (Mrs Wilson) when Leo Arnold Smith was charged with threatening bodily harm at Devonport last night to her and her husband, and to Smith’s son, who was adopted by the Wilsons many years ago. A constable said that Smith was mad drunk, but he had no -weapons. Smith expressed regret, and agreed to a prohibition order and to be bound Mr F. K. Hunt, S.M.: If you go near them again I’ll give you,six month!.
